libdesktop-notify-perl software package provides Perl module which communicates with the Desktop Notifications framework, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdesktop-notify-perl
libdesktop-notify-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdesktop-notify-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdesktop-notify-perl *
You will get with libdesktop-notify-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
